Old Mutual, 45% new customers outside South Africa

With 590.000 new additional customers in 2013, Old Mutual accounts currently over 1.9 million internationally, an increase of over 45% in one year.

This figure embodies the strategy of concentration of the South African insurer in emerging markets. Old Mutual multiplies acquisitions in East and West Africa, particularly in Nigeria (Oceanic life), Ghana (Provident Life Assurance) and Kenya (Faulu).
