Nominations in the IRA

The government has appointed Joseph Murage, Abdulaziz Mohamed, Moses Obonyo and Chemutai Murgor as members of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) for a three-year term. Steven Omenge has been nominated President of IRA.
In conformity with the 2006 Insurance Act in force as of May 1, 2007, IRA is the new autonomous authority in charge of the regulation and control of Kenya's insurance business.
