New regulations for Indonesian insurance intermediaries

The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) has issued new regulations governing the insurance intermediary activity.

The new rules include several provisions such as regulations on online insurance brokerage services, the frequency of periodic reports submission, the relationship between the insurer and the intermediary and laws relating to administrative sanctions.

The new regulations became effective on 28 December 2022.
