The new legislation is threatening the insurance sector

According to Mr. Abraham Matossian, President of the Lebanese Insurance and Reinsurance Association, the obligation binding companies to increase their technical reserves in a substantial way constitutes a serious threat for the survival of the sector, especially for the small sized companies. The insurance industry provides jobs for more than 3000 people in the country.
