A new legislation for health insurance

According to the authorities, the draft bill paving the way for a national health insurance system has been finalized. It has now to be validated by a parliamentarian vote.

The bill institutes a financing of the health insurance system based on a monthly 4% levy on wages. An equivalent contribution has been set to the charge of the employers.

This new legislation will enable the insurance regulators to take control over loss-making companies while ensuring a better coverage of the insured.
