A law was passed in this regard designed to promote the Emirate’s economic environment in order to attract investment and increase the contribution of international financial services. The sectors targeted by the new law include banking, insurance, reinsurance, islamic finance and asset management. The establishment of GMAD would allow Abu Dhabi to create strategic links with European and South Asian markets.
