New draft law on the Egyptian insurance market

The Council of Ministers has approved the new insurance law. The legislation sets out specific and comprehensive rules to monitor and control the Egyptian insurance market.

The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) is in charge of setting up and supervising insurance operators. The draft also puts forward new mandatory insurance categories.
