Nearly 950 million USD of written premiums in 2013

The insurance industry collected 945.82 million USD in premiums in 2013, an increase of 10.44% compared to 2012 (856.44 million USD).

Branches that record the best growth from year to year are: health insurance (38%) and property insurance (21%), while life insurance fall by 16%.

Automotive, health and property damage branches account for 41%, 17% and 14% of premiums respectively.

• Dhofar Insurance Company: 17.2%
• National Life & General Insurance Company: 15.4%
• Oman United Insurance Company: 11%
