A national insurance program for cotton producers

The microinsurance test program conducted in the Mara region will be extended nationwide. It will cover cotton harvest against risks of drought and floods. In the event of loss, farmers will be able to recover the expenses incurred for the purchase of seeds, fertilizers and pesticides used for the cultivation of cotton.
