NamibRe celebrates its 19th anniversary

Created in September 2001, NamibRe is celebrating 19 years of existence. Over the last five years, the reinsurer has achieved a 341% increase in its gross written premiums. NamibRe is hoping to be among the top 15 African reinsurers in the future.

In 2018, the company was ranked among the top 29 reinsurance companies in Africa with an annual turnover of 20.773 million USD.

Despite the current circumstances brought on by the pandemic, NamibRe is the only reinsurance company in Namibia to receive continental recognition, a success the reinsurer attributes to its employees.
