NAICOM suspends Guinea Insurance

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has suspended the activities of the Nigerian insurer, Guinea Insurance PLC since January 29, 2019. The company will no longer underwrite new business but will continue to manage its existing portfolio.

This suspension is accounted for by non-compliance with certain measures namely failure to appoint a new managing director and renew certain reinsurance treaties.
