Munich Re: Preliminary results for Q1 2023

As at 31 March 2023, Munich Re has published its financial results for the first time in accordance with the new IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 standards.

The preliminary net profit amounted to 1.3 billion EUR (1.4 billion USD), thus exceeding the forecasts made by analysts who were expecting a net profit of 1.012 billion EUR (1.1 billion USD) in the first quarter of 2023.

The German group's final detailed results will be released on 17 May 2023.
