Munich Re embarks on a broad restructuring plan

Munich Re is undertaking a major restructuring program. The removal of the "special and financial risks" division is one of the most important resolutions. The international subsidiaries attached to this unit will be grouped under the "global customers-North America" division headed by Peter Röder. Those operating in Europe will be part of the Europe-Latin America division led by Doris Höpke.

The reinsurance business in Germany will move from the "Germany, Asia-Pacific, Africa" division to the "Europe-Latin America" division.
