Munich re acquires Sterling Life Insurance Company

The German reinsurer is consolidating his position on the American market with the acquisition of the American company Sterling Life Insurance Company fro the sum of 352 million USD.
Leader of the American health insurance market for half a century with a portfolio of 176 000 clients, Sterling Life Insurance Company has, in 2007, collected a premium volume of 798 million USD.
