Mounir Hachicha, a leading figure in Tunisian reinsurance, deceased

Mounir Hachicha, an eminent professional of the Tunisian, Arab and African reinsurance, passed away on 14 August 2022.

After studying accounting in Toulouse, Mounir Hachicha started his career in 1977 at the Tunisian Ministry of Finance's General Insurance Department.

In 1981, M. Hachicha joined the team in charge of creating the Tunisian reinsurance company, Tunis Re . He then led the project to establish the Tunisian reinsurer in West and Central Africa. This is how the representative office of Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire was opened on 1 November 2012. M. Hachicha was entrusted with its management.
