Motor third-party liability insurance in Saudi Arabia: new deadline for claims settlement

The Saudi central bank (SAMA) is requiring local insurers to settle personal motor third-party liability claims within five working days when the amount of damages does not exceed 2 000 SAR (532 USD).

The deadline for claims settlement is set at five working days starting from the date of receipt of the claim.

The new instruction will become effective in mid-August 2022.
