Motor insurance tariffs for commercial vehicles

In the interest of transparency, the Omani authorities have published the basic insurance tariffs for commercial vehicles: taxis, school buses, rental cars, and fuel and water carriers. This initiative is designed to help policyholders in their choice and to promote competition.

The objective of the authorities is also to reduce the tariffs charged by insurers in this segment. As of 2012, insurance companies have been required to specify in their offers the minimum prices for certain categories of vehicles for private and commercial use.
