Minimum capital for the insurance market actors

The law adopted in March 2015 dealing with the minimum capital of the insurance market players in the Democratic Republic of Congo will not come into force before next year.

The law henceforth sets the minimum capital of life or non-life insuers at 10 billion CDF (11 million USD).
Regarding brokers wishing to practise in the country, the minimum capital is 1 billion CDF (1.1 million USD).
