Microinsurance for the rescue of 80% of the population

A two-day training took place early December in Dakar. It has allowed the introduction of schemes for the establishment of the principles of microinsurance to the fifty participants. Despite governmental efforts, only 20% of Senegalese people benefit from a health cover. The health microinsurance pool recently established by six insurers of the market will provide the most disadvantaged people with better access to public health care centers.
