Merger between Britannia and UK Club, scheduled for June 2016

A meeting between the two players is scheduled for April 2016. It aims to present the strategic benefits of the transaction. The merger could be finalized in June of the same year. It would take place after the extraordinary general meetings of both partners.

Both clubs, major players in the underwriting of maritime transportation risks have been merged together since 2005, as eleven other shipowners’ clubs within the International P & I Clubs Group. The latter, based in London, covers 90% of TPL risks of the world fleet of merchant ships.
