Merger between AXA Philippines and Charter Ping An

AXA Philippines and Charter Ping An Insurance Corporation (CPAIC), a local company specialized in property and casualty insurance, have finalized their merger project. The transaction was approved by the Philippine regulatory authority (SEC) in December 2022.

The merger marks the latest step in a multi-year process that began in 2016 when the French group's Philippine subsidiary acquired CPAIC from GT Capital Holdings.

CPAIC will now operate under the name AXA Philippines.
