Merger between AME Life Lux and Monument Assurance Luxembourg

Bermuda's Monument Re has obtained the approval of the Commissariat aux Assurances to merge its Luxembourg subsidiary Monument Assurance Luxembourg with AME Life Lux. The new entity will operate under the name of Monument Assurance Luxembourg.

In February 2021, the Bermuda-based group's Luxembourg subsidiary acquired AME Life Lux from French mutual Covéa.

Headquartered in Bermuda, the Monument Re group operates in Europe through its subsidiaries in Belgium, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Luxembourg. It also has branches in Spain, Italy and Germany.
