Already present in Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Mexico and Venezuela, the Spanish group is settling in Brazil where the January 15, 2007 law put an end to state monopoly over the reinsurance sector. Mapfre RE do Brasil will be endowed with an initial capital of 38 million USD.
