Mandatory insurance for tourists

Dubai’s health ministry presented last April its strategy designed to consolidate medical tourism in the Emirate by 2020. The establishment of compulsory insurance for non-residents traveling to Dubai for medical reasons stands among the measures announced.

This insurance plan of up to 50 000 USD will cover probable costs relative to complications, emergency fees and return flight. It is due to come into effect upon its subscription on the website of “Dubai Health Experience”.
