Linkage Assurance: results 2021

Linkage Assurance has recorded a 34% turnover increase to reach 11.161 billion NGN (27.08 million USD) in 2021.

As of 31 December, the Nigerian insurer posted a net loss of 3.991 billion NGN (9.68 million USD) compared to a net profit of 2.395 billion NGN (6.25 million USD) by the end of 2020.

The technical result also showed a deficit worth 2.584 billion NGN (6.27 million USD) against a technical result of 825.589 million NGN (2.15 million USD) in 2020.

This decrease in results is due to the increase in claims frequency and to capital losses on bond investments.
