Liberty Holdings extended its cross-border activities

Liberty Holdings has pursued its expansion strategy in Sub Saharan Africa. Already present in 17 countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, the fourth South African insurer is planning to puchase the Botswanese insurance company Prefsure.

The group is also intending to acquire a majority stake in the Malawian Charter Insurance Company.
The amounts of these transactions have not been disclosed yet.
