Kuria Muchiru, new Chairman of the Board of Britam Holdings

Kuria Muchiru has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Britam Holdings. He succeeds Mohamed Said Karama who has held the position as interim chairman since February 2021.

K. Muchiru is also a Managing Director of the subsidiary Britam General Insurance Company (Kenya).

K. Muchiru graduated from the University of Nairobi and started his career in 1983 with PwC, where he served for 35 years.

This appointment comes a few weeks after the resignation of CEO Tavaziva Madzinga who joined the South African insurer Santam as CEO.
