Korean Re to open branch in India

Korean Re has received approval from the relevant authorities to open a branch in India.

Located in GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City), the new branch is set to begin operations in April 2026.

This expansion is part of the South Korean reinsurer's strategy to strengthen its international presence, particularly in high-growth markets.
