Joint venture between AXA and Barthi Enterprises

Following the recent agreement protocol, the Indian insurer Barthi Entreprises and the French AXA have established a joint venture specializing in property insurance.

The new company, whose headquarter will be in Bangalore, will be shared by AXA at 26% and at 74% by its Indian partner with whom it set up a year before another entity specializing in life insurance.
The new entity is likely to start its operations in the second semester of 2007.
