Japan Post, several resignations expected at the group's top management

The presidents of Japan Post Holding (Masatsugu Nagato), Japan Post Insurance (Mitsuhiko Uehira) and Japan Post Co. (Kunio Yokoyama) are expected to step down in the coming days.

The departures would follow the scandal caused by the non-regulatory sale of thousands of insurance policies by Japan Post Insurance. Nearly 13 000 insurance contracts would be affected by this case. The market regulator ordered two units of the insurer to suspend their underwriting for three months.
