Insurers to face Sudan's riots

The Khartoum riots of June 2019 have resulted in an increasing loss experience for insurers. Claims are estimated at several hundred million Soudanese Pounds.

Experts approved by the National Insurance Supervisory Authority are in charge of assessing the extent of the damage and determining the amount of compensation. Public institutions as well as small and medium-sized enterprises are particularly affected by these events.
