Insurers are investing in SMEs

China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) have for several years encouraged the investment of insurance companies in start-ups and SMEs. This initiative seems to bear fruit since 1.15 billion USD was invested in them in 2015. Several insurers have set up teams dedicated to this type of investment.

The same authorities have already indicated that the policy of encouraging insurers to finance SMEs and start-ups on the long-term will be maintained.
