Insured losses of Desmond storm could reach 491 million USD

The Desmond storm has swept the northwest of Britain since December 5, 2015, is likely to be expensive for insurers. Insurable losses are estimated between 377.8 and 491.1 million USD. For their part, economic losses are estimated between 604.4 and 755 million USD.

The latest figures have reported more than 2 000 flooded buildings, three deceased people and about 45 000 others affected by these events.
