Insurance premiums jump by 19% in 2015

Turkish insurance is in great shape. In 2015, the sector exhibited a 19.4% growth of its turnover at 31.25 billion TRL (10.7 billion USD), a performance to be credited to the non life class of business which accounts for 87.2% of the overall market with 27.26 billion TRL (9.36 billion USD).

Among major insurers, Allianz tops the list with 4.5 billion TRL (1.55 billion USD) in turnover, followed by Andalou Sigorta, Axa and Mapfre Genel Sigorta.
