The insurance market has enough growth margin

The 5% economic growth provides a good development perspective for the Cambodian insurance sector. The presence of foreign insurers remains quite limited and no decree is restricting the participation of non-Cambodian investors in a company. Another advantage: both banking and insurance activities are joined under the same business license, authorizing a company to operate in the two classes of business. The market's turnover amounts to 20.07 million USD in 2009. Six insurers are registered in Cambodia.
