Insurance companies in the UAE refuse to insure old cars

Emirati insurers refuse to underwrite insurance policies for cars that are more than five years old. They believe that the risks generated by these vehicles are too high.

For the supervisory authorities, this position of the local insurers is not in conformity with the legislation in force.
