The Belgian government has decided to inject the sum of 1.5 billion EUR (1.96 billion USD) in the capital of the insurer Ethias, in trouble following the crash of the shares it holds in the bank Dexia. In line with this move, Ethias should be giving up its status of mutual for that of a company.
