ING has paid back more than half the State loan

ING has refunded 5.6 billion EUR (8 billion USD) out of the 10 billion EUR (14.3 billion USD), lent by the State to back up the group's capital in October 2008. ING has recently proceeded to an increase of its capital by 7.5 billion EUR (10.7 billion USD), underwritten at 97% to repay half of its debt.
