Increased turnover of the Algerian insurance market

During the first 2008 semester, the Algerian insurance market has reported a significant rise of its turnover. The volume of written premiums rises to 38 billion DZD (617 million USD) against 29.3 billion DZD (417 million USD) in the same period of 2007, that is, a growth rate of 29.8%. The non life class of business accounts for 56.3% of the market shares.
