Increase of the cap of equity investments

The Chinese Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) has issued new rules that allow insurers to invest up to 30% of their assets in the stock markets and private equity. This investment limit was previously set at 25%.

Note that the total assets managed by Chinese insurance companies was 1.36 trillion USD in 2013.
