Hitesh Ramesh Chandra Joshi appointed Interim Chairman and Managing Director of GIC Re

Hitesh Ramesh Chandra Joshi has been appointed Interim Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re). His appointment, approved by the Ministry of Finance, took effect on 1 October 2025.

H. Joshi brings over 30 years of experience with GIC Re, where he has held several senior leadership positions, most recently serving as Executive Director.

His appointment follows the completion of Narayanan Ramaswamy’s two-year term as CMD of GIC Re.
