Hannover Re: upward reevaluation of its 2017 net profit forecast

Hannover Re has described its 2017 underwriting campaign as a success. The German reinsurer has renewed two thirds of its treaties for a total amount of 4 685 million EUR (4 931 million USD).

This good figure, achieved from the beginning of the current year, allows the group to revise its 2017 net profit forecast from an initial amount of 950 million EUR (1 billion USD) to 1 billion EUR (1.05 billion USD).
