GIG Bahrain: MENA's first insurance company to accept cryptocurrency payments

Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (GIG Bahrain) has signed a partnership agreement with Eazy Financial Services "EazyPay", a payment service provider in Bahrain, on 12 December 2022.

Under this deal, a set of electronic payment services will be introduced in the Bahraini insurer's sales outlets. It will now accept all types of Visa or MasterCard, as well as cryptocurrency payments via the "Binance Pay" application.

This initiative makes GIG Bahrain the first insurance company in the MENA region to accept premium payments in virtual currency.
