Generali Leben in run-off

Generali is placing the life insurance portfolio of its German subsidiary in run-off. The termination of underwritings will take effect during the first quarter of 2018.

The liquidation of the 40-billion EUR (47 billion USD) portfolio will allow the Italian group to improve its solvency ratio by 1.7 point.
