As Prudential gave up the takeover of AIA, Generali has shown interest in some of the assets detained by AIG's Asian subsidiary. Generali would ask AIA to refrain from listing and make concessions concerning the sale. AIA's refusal to negotiate the price has already caused prudential sale to foil.
