Four state-owned banks authorized to create their own insurance company

China has authorized four major national banks to set up their own insurance companies. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China will benefit from a test period before the final validation of their project. Within the same spirit, Bank of Communications and Bank of Beijing have been authorized by the regulatory authorities to invest in national insurance companies.
