Four new Egyptian insurance pools

The creation of four new Egyptian insurance pools is under consideration.

These will specialise in the coverage of microinsurance, travel, natural and agricultural disasters.

According to the the project's plan, the insurance pool dedicated to natural disasters will be the first to be created.

Egypt has several active insurance pools, including those dedicated to:

• nuclear constructions,
• railway, metro and highway accidents
• Decennial liability insurance.
