Flood risk in Qatar

The heavy rain of November 2016 caused a series of floods that washed Qatar nationwide.

As a general rule, policyholders are not compensated for damage caused by rising water levels because few insurance policies provide coverage for this risk. The policyholder is not compensated against flood unless he has expressly underwritten that cover.
