Five billion USD of engagements for the Soccer World Cup

Insurers have underwritten engagements up to five billion USD in order to cover World Cup related risks. An important portion of these risks is placed with several reinsurers. Munich Re has announced an exposure of 350 million USD. Swiss Re, Allianz and Hannover Re are among the other reinsurers.
