Establishment of a financial guarantee on Mauritanian insurance companies

Mauritanian insurance companies will henceforth be subject to a 300 million MRO (850 800 USD) financial guarantee. Established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the new requirement has been strongly challenged by local insurers.

Equally important, a professional association defending the interests of the insurance industry will soon see the light of day in Mauritania.
